The Fair Uninterupted

I have found that more than loving photography, I love having a photography friend. My sister-in-law Anne has taken to the hobby and we have photo day dates every once in awhile. In Iowa yesterday it was record heat waves so we started early, and didn't last long but it was so much fun and we both ended with some great shots. 

 We first stopped at a few locations downtown but spent most of our time at the empty fairgrounds. The Iowa State Fair will be starting in just a matter of weeks and a million or more people will be flooding the streets, vendors, and barns. But yesterday there wasn't a person to be found, mostly anyway. It was a different feel. It had an empty and at times an eerie feeling. The next time I am there I will be one of the million eating something on a stick.

Baby Joey

I tested out my traveling studio for infants yesterday to take photos of baby Joey, 5 weeks old. After getting everything unpacked and set up it worked great! I snapped a lot of photos and Joey's mom and I spent a lot of time practicing our baby whispering skills to lull little guy back to sleep in between photos. For someone who is so little and doesn't do much outside of eat and sleep, it was alot of work! But the photos and his sweet little face make it all worth it.

Full of Cuteness

Yesterday I was around too much cuteness with my camera. Needless to say, I got a little carried away. But really, who could blame me??

I didn't need any luck getting some cute pictures of these kids. They did all the work for me. 

Sweet Little E

It was a warm, sunny day yesterday and I had the privilege of spending it with Miss E, almost five months old, and her mom. We spent the day playing peak-a-boo, making funny noises, and even exploring grass for the very first time. She was a joy to work with and I look forward to doing more photos as she grows!

My Little Guy

 My two boys have a hard time escaping the camera. They have learned to live with it as they have seen me with a camera in my hand since the day they arrived.

 I am proud to bring you my little guy at three months old.
