Goodbye 2014. What's New 2015?

I am always so excited to meet new families to document their life for them each year and love even more those families I get to see again and again. I watch them grow up in a way and it is so much fun. When I am sorting through photos after a session many times I smile as I scroll as I see some of the perfect moments I got. It may not be the perfect photo but its not me that makes the photo perfect. It is the smile, laugh, look, or fleeting moment that I got to be a part of. I could never show you all of my favorites from 2014 but I here are a few that have stuck with me through the year.

As 2015 arrives there will be a few things that are different! First of those is we will be welcoming our baby in early April. After life with our two boys we will be in for a bit of a change since they tell us we will be having a sweet baby girl. We won't know what to do with ourselves but I am sure we can find some pink monster trucks somewhere!

There is a slight change in prices this year as well. I upgraded my equipment and with several more years of experience you are all getting a better photographer and in turn better photos. I hope to be a part of some learning experiences this year, as well as upgrade more of my equipment to make sure you all have the best images to hang on your wall. Despite this change I sincerely hope I can still see all of you in front of the camera again this year.

Thanksgiving Giveaway

It is the time of year that I get to say thank you to my awesome clients! This year has been so full of your beautiful families, new babies, and weddings! It has also been a year since Jennie and I launched our wedding photography business together, Vantage Nine19, and we have had several couples join us in our journey this first year. We couldn't be more thankful to them for giving us the opportunity to be a part of their life in such a big way and let us document their wedding for them. Holiday Card Giveaway!

Last year I received a holiday card from a family that I took their family photos. It was totally unexpected and I loved seeing their card, what photos they loved from their session, and how our time together tuned into something they shared with all their family and friends. An idea was born from this one card, a holiday card giveaway! I received so many cards from families I photographed through the year and happily displayed them all in my kitchen.

And I can't wait to do it again this year!

If you are using a photo I took on your card as you make your 2014 holiday card list add an extra and send it my way! That is all you have to do to be entered. I will wait until just after the new year, in case any of you (like myself) procrastinate and do a Happy New Year card, then will randomly choose one card to win a free photo session to be used at some point during 2015! If you are receiving photo CD's this fall my address will be labeled on your CD cover for you. If you already had your session send me a message and I will get my address to you. I can't wait to see all your smiling faces!!

 This family was like a look into the future. MY future! Having two little boys almost the same exact age difference, this will be me in just a few years. You could tell the boys were best friends but definitely knew how to rile each other up. The boys wear them out but they couldn't be any more loved.

Sisters

These four sisters are all so beautiful, funny, and full of energy. I love that they each are willing to spin, dance, and laugh out loud for me and I always end with such adorable and real photos of them.

Bailey {5 days new}

 Sweet Bailey has made it two girls for this family and no one could be happier. She smiled and slept through her whole session and her sister and parents couldn't love her any more.

Decker {5 days new}

 Decker makes three and he is so loved. His mom is a natural baby whisperer, having rocked my babe to sleep after my arms were tired. She will be such a great mom and they together will be the perfect team. Welcome to the world Decker!
