Greenbelt Trail {Location}

   The Greenbelt trail winds for many miles and I am sure many points along the trail are beautiful. One of my favorites spots is the entry right behind 7flags, at 100th and Swanson in Clive. The trail winds through the park with a stream to the side. The trees are large and curve to make a nice canopy. There are several bridges along the way, logs to sit on, grassy spots to hide in, and when you reach the end of this particular area there is a huge field with tall grasses that are absolutely beautiful in the fall, and all times of year. The greenbelt trail never seems to disappoint.

Waterworks {Location}

Waterworks park off of Fleur in Des Moines is a huge park with photo opportunities all over. So many I am sure I haven’t explored all the nooks and crannies. When you pull in there are trees that bloom with beautiful flowers in the spring, and turn colorful in the fall. A few even still have little red berries to add a pop of color in the winter! As you drive around you pass a large white barn that makes for a nice rustic backdrop. As you curve around you find a large metal bridge and a winding concrete path. If you’re up for a little walk there is a hallway of trees that is absolutely beautiful and a definite favorite of mine and clients that have seen it! The kids’ favorite part is it isn’t uncommon to have a horse stop by and say hello.

Colorful Downtown

We live in such a great little city with a beautiful downtown! We took advantage of all the colorful doors, neat brick alleyways, and gorgeous yellow leaves still on the trees while out for photos. I met this little guy when I photographed his first {superhero} birthday party. Each time I am with this family I get reminded of how photogenic and awesome they are!

Moore Family

I love seeing a family as they change. This is another perfect example of exactly that. When I first met Miss Kamdyn she was two and her mom was expecting her sister. At that time they didn't even know she was a sister at all. We also found out the first time together that Lacie and my cousin, both teachers, actually work together! I am so happy I was able to come together with the Moore family and am excited everytime I see their message come through my inbox.

This fall I met them for photos in one of their favorite places to go camping while the weather is nice. Hopefully these photos will help them remember what is to come while they wait for next spring to arrive.
